My favorite children's book growing up was Harry The Dirty Dog. I used to read it over and over! I bought it for my son and he loves it as well. It's about a white dog with black spots who runs away and gets dirty and becomes a black dog with white spots and his family doesn't know it's him, until he takes a bath. Such a cute book. What is your favorite kid's book (from your childhood or current)?
Michael Stars
When my kids are little, reading was a big part of the time right before bed. Some of our favorites are from Eric Carle and Audrey and Don Wood. The Napping House from the Wood's was probably the favorite from that author. The illustrations are beautiful!
1My favorite book was Serendipity!
I bought it for my step-daughter, too!
2Mine was "There is a Monster at the End of this Book"
My daughters right now is Brown Bear Brown Bear and Skippy John Jones.
I had a dog named Harry and my father's best friedn gave Harry the dirty dog to my daughter for Christmas last year - with the little plush dog and all. It is a really cute book. Good choice!
3Ooh, I used to have The Monster at the End of this Book, too! I got it for my son, and he just laughs when I try and do the voices, "Aaarrrgghhh, You Turned The Page!!!"
4My favorite childrens books were always the Amelia Bedelia books. She was so clumsy and funny.
5I love The Three Questions by Jon J Muth, and The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein (so sad
)
*Thank you. My real name... is plain... Jane Jones. (Alice - Closer)
6Elijah LOVES Wild About books and I have to agree
It's
fantastic.. I totally recommend getting it!
7Love You Forever is my favorite of all. I can't read it without bawling though, lol
I also like The Giving Tree, most of Dr. Seuss, and Hans Christian Anderson & the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Oh, Aesop's Fables too.
8Ooo I like all of your favs Wynter! I'm a little worn out reading Love You Forever though.. the repetition gets tedious after a while
I'm still fine with Green Eggs and Ham though
9I loved 'the paper bag princess' by Robert Munch. It's great!
