My 8 year daughter was recently given a gift from her friend called Yummy Dough. Last night we finally tried it. It is this great new product where kids can make their own dough, mix the colors and knead to form a molding dough which they can also bake and eat after. Not only is it a dough that it is safe to eat before baking unlike something like Playdoh, it actually tastes pretty good, like a sugar cookie. The kids had so much fun, I joined in too....it was a blast.
I went to their great website..http://www.yummydough.com/ which has tutorials on how to form different animals or creatures and more information on all the positive aspects of yummy dough. You can also post online pictures of what you've made a share with friends and family.
As I read through the website I learned that the product was created by two little girls in Germany who had tasted the play dough they were playing with and told their father it was awful and would he invent something they could eat and play with...years later he did. How sweet is that...
I'm writing to find out if anyone has come across it at toy stores or knows where to buy it. I'd love to stock up for Christmas and other gift giving days.Thank you

Every mom has an ace in her pocket. When all else fails, we all have a secret weapon we turn to for curing an uncooperative tot. For my daughter it was Elmo; anything and everything red and furry would usually stop her mid-tantrum and return a sweet smile to her face. I always made sure her babysitters knew that if things weren't going well, it was more than OK to give her a quick fix of Elmo's World.

Well, I actually do pretty much every day. But I use a little device called the BabyComfyNose so I don't get snot in my mouth. With cold and flu season here, I thought it would be appropriate to pass along the best little nasal aspirator I have ever found.Hope it helps you as much as it has us!

My friend made this app called Slide-A-Ma-Jig, that keeps them occupied with something that's fun and silly. Its a kind of sliding mix and match activity with all these funny characters and their body parts can be switched out, plus they have different things on their heads like hats or fish or upside down cereal bowls and a bunch of different backgrounds...you just actually have to see it to totally get it.
