Who doesn’t like to get something for free? I know I do, and if it takes just a minute of my time and involves what I am already doing or like to do, why not; it’s fun to think of getting a great prize. Here are some really exciting giveaways you can take part in that are currently on the web.

Starting this March, the Craft & Hobby Association is challenging individuals, families and craft retailers to take the ‘Craft Night Pledge’ of crafting one night a week. By participating in just one craft per week, people can enjoy the financial, social, emotional and intrinsic benefits of crafting - including sense of accomplishment, memory keeping, relaxation, and spending time with friends and family.
For those of us who love to craft, vow to try a new crafting technique during National Craft Month; or perhaps you can teach someone how to make your favorite craft.

When my husband and I first began dating, we took an early romantic trip together. While we were away I got a cold and lost my voice for the flight home. Because we were in the very early stages of our love affair, we just couldn’t rest, sleep or - heaven forbid - watch the movie, so we bought a notebook in the airport convenience store and spent the entire eight hour flight writing our thoughts back and forth to one other.

Yesterday in the wee hours of the night I got an e-mail from my friend titled “from one raccoon to another”…I thought she had a hidden camera in my office and could see the days-long make up smudged around my tired eyes. But as I clicked on the link in her e-mail, I began to read an article referring to the newest sniglet, “Raccoon Mom”.
(If you are not sure what a singlet is, it is any word that does not appear in the dictionary, but should…our other favorite being Mompert)
It seems that a new phenomena is taking over the moms of today.

How many times a day do you think about how cool the internet is? I mean really!!! I need a phone number, an obscure book, advice on child rearing, cool clothes or baby gear, I want to chat with friends from around the world, or watch a video clip on the latest news.

I recently read an article about a 10 year old boy who is a bull fighting prodigy. He is from Mexico and is currently traveling in France partaking in non-professional demonstrations in bullfighting schools. In France, the approved age for bull fighters is sixteen.
